Audio Video Security Systems Technician (AVSST)

Install, configure, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair complex audio, video, security, access control, CCTV and teleconferencing systems.

W-2 only. This position is offered on a W-2 basis only (no Corp-to-Corp or 1099). We are not a headhunting agency.

Primary duties

  • Install, configure, test, maintain, troubleshoot and repair complex audio, video, security, access control, CCTV and teleconferencing systems in commercial, industrial or institutional environments.

Minimum qualifications

  1. A minimum of 3 years of experience installing, configuring, testing, maintaining and repairing audio, video, intercom, CCTV, security, access control, and audio/video conferencing systems.
  2. At least 1 year of experience at the journey level.
  3. Experience in commercial, industrial or institutional environments.
  4. High school diploma or GED.
  5. A valid Class C driver's license with no restrictions.
  6. Ability to perform physically demanding job functions safely.
  7. Appropriate physical dexterity, color perception and visual acuity.
  8. Strong customer service, interpersonal, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, oral communication and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred skills and background

  • Strong hands-on experience with CCTV, security systems, access control, intrusion detection, public address systems, intercoms, audio/video conferencing, cabling infrastructure and IP-based AV systems.
