This notice explains how California Solitsys Technologies, operating as Solitsys Technologies ("Solitsys", "we", "us"), collects, uses, shares and retains personal information about job applicants and candidates, including when you apply through this website or by email. It is provided under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (together, the "CCPA"). For other personal information we collect through this website, see our Privacy policy.

Personal information we collect

  • Identifiers and contact details: name, email address, phone number and city of residence.
  • Professional and employment information: your resume, work history, skills, certifications, references and anything else you choose to include in your resume or note.
  • Education information: degrees, schools and training listed in your resume.
  • Application details: the position you applied for and your confirmation that you are seeking W-2 employment.
  • Technical information: limited information our web host records automatically when you submit a form, such as IP address and browser type, used for security and troubleshooting.
  • Characteristics of protected classifications: only if you choose to include them in your application. We do not ask for them and do not use them in hiring decisions.

We do not ask for sensitive personal information, such as your Social Security number, driver's license number, date of birth or financial account details, at the application stage. Please do not include it in your resume. If you move forward in the hiring process, we will tell you before collecting any additional information, such as information needed for a background check you authorize.

Where we get it

From you, when you apply or contact us. If you move forward in the hiring process and authorize it, we may also receive information from your references and from background screening providers.

How we use it

  • To review your qualifications for the position you applied for and for other current or future openings.
  • To communicate with you about your application, interviews and offers.
  • To present your qualifications to the client for an assignment you are being considered for.
  • To verify information you provide and, with your authorization, conduct reference and background checks.
  • To comply with legal obligations, including employment, equal opportunity and record-keeping laws.
  • To protect our rights, prevent fraud and keep our website and systems secure.

Who we share it with

  • Clients: the client for an assignment you are being considered for, so they can evaluate your qualifications.
  • Service providers: companies that host our website and email or provide screening services, under contracts that limit their use of your information to services for us.
  • Authorities and advisers: government agencies, courts or professional advisers when required by law or needed to protect our legal rights.

We do not sell applicant personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information to infer characteristics about you.

How long we keep it

We keep applicant records for at least four years after the hiring decision, as California employment regulations require, and longer if needed for a legal claim or investigation. If you submit a general application, we may keep it on file for up to four years to consider you for future openings. After that, we delete or de-identify it. If you are hired, your information becomes part of your employment records.

How we protect it

Applications submitted on this website are sent securely over HTTPS to our hiring team by email. The website itself does not store a copy of your resume. Access to applicant information is limited to the people who need it to process your application.

Your rights

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know and access the personal information we have collected about you, including the categories, sources, purposes and recipients.
  • Correct inaccurate personal information.
  • Delete your personal information, subject to exceptions such as records we must keep by law.
  • Not be retaliated against for exercising these rights.

Because we do not sell or share personal information, or use sensitive personal information beyond what the law allows, the rights to opt out of sale or sharing and to limit use of sensitive personal information do not currently apply.

How to make a request

Email info@solitsys.comwith the subject "Applicant privacy request", or contact us through our website. We will ask for information to verify your identity, such as confirming details from your application, and will respond within 45 days. If we need more time (up to another 45 days), we will tell you. You may use an authorized agent to make a request for you. We will ask the agent for proof of your permission and may ask you to confirm your identity directly.
