Network Engineer

Plan, design, install and maintain complete network infrastructure in a centralized, high-availability IT environment, including a Cisco Viptela SD-WAN serving hundreds of remote sites.

W-2 only. This position is offered on a W-2 basis only (no Corp-to-Corp or 1099). We are not a headhunting agency.

Primary duties

  • Plan, design, install and maintain complete network infrastructure in a centralized IT organization with a high-availability environment.
  • Develop feature and device templates for Cisco's Viptela-based Software Defined Wide Area Network (SD-WAN).
  • Deploy, monitor and maintain SD-WAN across hundreds of remote sites.

Minimum qualifications

  1. A minimum of four (4) years of broad, extensive and increasingly responsible full-time experience planning, designing, installing and maintaining complete network infrastructure in a centralized IT organization with a high-availability environment. At least one (1) year of that experience must be in a lead capacity.
  2. Three (3) years of specific experience with Cisco's Viptela-based SD-WAN, developing feature and device templates, and deploying, monitoring and maintaining hundreds of remote sites.
  3. Three (3) years of increasingly responsible experience in a service-provider network.
  4. A bachelor's degree in an IT-related or engineering field, or a closely related field. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.
  5. Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) and Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certifications.
